Heartvale asks for nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-up and no login. The game does not know your name, your email or who you are, and it never will.
What stays on your device
Your saved valleys, records, settings and language choice live only in the app's own storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere, and we cannot read them. Deleting the app deletes them.
What leaves your device
Two things, both anonymous, and neither of them tied to your identity:
- Anonymous usage statistics — which modes are played and how far people get. This is what tells us whether the game is fun. It is labelled with a random identifier generated on your device, not with anything about you.
- Crash reports — if the game breaks, a technical report of what went wrong is sent so it can be fixed. It contains the state of the code, the device model and the OS version.
Both are handled by Google (Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics). Their handling of the data is described in Google's privacy policy.
What we deliberately do not do
- No advertising. There are no ads in Heartvale, and no advertising networks are built into it.
- No tracking. The game does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). The advertising-free build of the analytics library was chosen on purpose, so the identifier is not even present in the app.
- No profiles, no sale of data. Nothing is combined with data from anywhere else, and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
- No third-party login and no social networks.
Purchases
Heartvale offers one optional purchase that permanently unlocks the remaining modes. It is handled entirely by Apple. Payment details never pass through the game — we do not see, receive or store your card, your Apple ID or your billing address. All we learn from Apple is whether this device is entitled to the unlock.
Children
Heartvale is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Since the game holds no personal data about you, there is nothing personal to export or delete. If you want the anonymous statistics from your device to stop, delete the app — the random identifier goes with it, and no further data is sent.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
